Attempting To Recover Installation

Let us see how to fix attempting to recover installation error.

I switched on my laptop. I saw the starting screen. As soon as it enters to load Operating System, I started seeing Attempting to recover installation undoing changes made to your computer once.

I waited for a while. I thought It might get fixed in 10-15 minutes. But this stupid error keeps on re-appearing.

Actually my system entered into a loop mode of attempting to recover installation undoing changes made to your computer error.

Then I found the Following Solution.

Restart your system. As soon as you restart your system, immediately press your computer’s System Recover Function key to solve attempting to recover installation error. In my case Function key F11.

However, In HP Notebook Laptops it is usually F11 for system recovery mode.

Under choose an option, Click on use another operating system

Choose an operating system (change defaults). I Selected the blank Operating System which is below my Windows 10. It had no Name at all.

Once you choose an operating system, your system restarts and starts loading your operating system.

When the login screen pops up. Log in with your User Name and Password credentials.

To fix attempting to recover installation, press windows and R button.

After that the Run window shows up. Type “msconfig” and hit enter.

System Configuration

Firstly, under the General tab select Normal startup

Secondly, Click on the boot tab. Select your current Operating System.

Further Click on Set as default button, click apply and click on OK button.

Next restart the system. As a result, attempting to recover installation undoing changes made to your computer problem would be resolved.
